We are excited to announce the BOOKATHON SCIENCE FAIR 2.0 taking place in late 2023. We’re inspiring the next generation of innovators to do BIGGER AND BETTER.

The competition consists of two rounds:

Round 1: The theoretical round

Explain a scientific concept and its application of it to solve a world problem. We grade on innovation, originality, creativity, feasibility, and quality of overall presentation. Be sure to include a thorough explanation of your concept, the issue it solves, and why it’s better than current alternatives. Entries for this round are to be submitted in a PowerPoint presentation and/or word format and/or video format.

Round 2: Finalists are invited to a physical event for the in person part of the competition

Deliver a 10 mins maximum power pitch with your presentation materials as to why your invention is necessary. We will grade on quality of presentation, how convincing the pitch is as well as the previous criteria from round one. Prototypes are welcome in this round for a demonstration. Successful finalists will be contacted and matched with a mentor that will help them take the next level.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 projects. All finalists will be given a certificate of participation as well as access to other opportunities.

THE BOOKATHON OLYMPIAD TEAM

One of BOOKATHON’S official clubs. Members of this club will gain access to information on international competitions. They will receive guidance and mentorship on projects and gain lifelong skills. Winners of the science fair will automatically be considered for the club.
